GSSSB Wireman Recruitment Educational Qualification

Must have passed at least two years Certificate Course (ITI) in Wireman or Electrician from any Industrial Training Institute established by the Government.

Must have basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Should have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages.

It is mandatory to register with the Secretary, Licensing Board, Department of Energy and Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat at the time of appointment, if not already registered.

Age Limit

The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 33 years
as on the last date of application.

GSSSB Wireman Recruitment 2025 Pay Scale & Fees

For the first five years: ₹26,000/- per month (Fixed Pay)
On satisfactory service at the end of five years: Will be eligible for regular appointment in the pay scale of ₹19,900/- to ₹63,200/- (Level-2) as per 7th Pay Commission.
Note: This matter will be subject to the judgment of SLP No.14124/2012 and SLP No.14125/2012 filed in the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

GSSSB Wireman Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern 2025

The exam will be conducted in a single phase with objective MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type questions using CBRT / OMR (Computer Based Response Test/ Optical Mark Recognition) method. This exam will be conducted in two parts, Part-A and Part-B.

Part – A (Total Marks: 60)

Part – B (Total Marks: 150)
1.Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension – Marks -30
2.Questions related to the topic and its usefulness Marks -120

Total Questions: 210
Total Time: 3 Hours (180 Minutes)
Negative Marking: 1/4th of the question marks will be deducted for wrong answer.
The content of the course will be as per the prescribed educational qualification.

How to apply for GSSSB Wireman Recruitment 2025?

Follow the steps below carefully to apply:

First go to the website https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
Then click on Apply in “On line Application” and select GSSSB.

By clicking on “Apply now” a new window will open. In which by clicking on “Skip” the Application Format will open in which first fill “Personal Details”.
After filling Personal Details, fill “Educational Details”
Then select “Yes” to accept the terms and conditions stated in “Assurance” and click “save”.
Clicking on “save” will generate an “Application Number” which you should save.
Now click on Upload Photograph and enter Application number and Date of Birth. Upload the photograph (5 cm height x 3.6 cm width) and signature (2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width). (The photograph should have a white background and the date of photographing should not be more than 01 year before the last date of application)
In the Online Application tab, click on “Confirm Application” and enter the “Application number” and date of birth and click on Ok. After verifying the application completely, click on Confirm Application.
A “confirmation number” will be generated, which you should keep in mind.
Now click on print application and take a printout of your application and save it.
To pay the application fee, click on Print Application Form / Pay Fees in the Online Application tab on the OJAS website, click on Online Payment of Fees and pay the fee.
